PORTLAND, Ore. - November 20, 2008 – Franz Bakery, the largest independent, familyowned bakery on the West Coast, has donated more than $2,700 to the two Portland-area Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and Southwest Washington locations. The East and West Portland Houses will use the gift from Franz to support the organization’s facilities and activities.

To raise money, Franz sold wide pan bread loaves and packages of cookies for one dollar each at the Northwest Women’s Show in Portland. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event’s bread and cookie sale went directly to the organization.
